This project was developed as part of my master’s program, in collaboration with a real client in Amsterdam. The assignment focused on designing a community building for a diverse and multicultural neighborhood, providing a space where residents can gather and organize activities. The project lasted ten weeks: the first four weeks were dedicated to the design phase, during which ten different proposals were created and presented to the community. Residents then voted for their preferred designs, with my proposal achieving third place.

Afterwards, I collaborated with fellow students on a combined design that integrated the three most highly valued proposals. The final design features a U-shaped building embracing a central green courtyard. This inner space incorporates water and planting elements that stimulate biodiversity while encouraging social interaction. On the highway-facing side, the façade is closed to reduce noise, complemented by a green wall that functions both as a sound buffer and an ecological asset. The roof is shaped as a unifying gesture, symbolically embracing the building and reinforcing its sense of cohesion.
